NON-AVAILABILITY OF EXPRESS SERVICE FOR PASSPORT RE-ISSUE AT THE HIGH COMMISSION OF NIGERIA, LONDON

The attention of the High Commission has been drawn to the exploitation of Nigerians by unscrupulous individuals who offered to facilitate issuance of passports within 24 hours on payment of between Two Hundred and Fifty Pounds (£250.00) and Three Hundred Pounds (£300.00) as official fee for 'Express or Expedite Service'.

2.     For the avoidance of doubt, the High Commission wishes to restate that there is neither Express Service nor applicable fee for such non-existence service. However, the High Commission will continue to issue passports with minimum delay and in cases of genuine urgent need for passports to be obtained within 24 hours, it will be issued at no extra charge after approval by the Head of Immigration.

3.      Consequently, Nigerians applying for passports are urged not to pay any extra fees under the guise of EXPRESS SERVICE or any other services aside from the passport fees already paid on-line.
