Immigration:

All visitors not exempted from entry permits are advised to apply and obtain appropriate visas from the nearest Nigerian Mission – Embassy, High Commission or Consulate before entry into Nigeria as visas cannot be issued at the port of entry. Early application is advisable to avoid delay.

  • £120 postal order addressed to Nigeria High Commission.

  • Two (2) passport photographs.
  • Flight ticket (optional).
  • £120 postal order addressed to Nigeria High Commission.
  • Birth Certificate.
  • Consent Letter by parents.
  • Copy of Passport data page by parent.

The High Commission of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in London, United Kingdom has the honour to announce to the Nigerian community in the United Kingdom that, the long-awaited roll-out of the Enhanced e-Passport will take place on Tuesday, 23rd November, 2021 at the premises of the Mission.

Returned Passports

Lists of Names of Nigerians in the UK whose passports could not be delivered by Royal Mail at their addresses, due to their unavailability to sign for the passport, change in addresses or other related reasons can be viewed below.

NB: Those whose names appear on the list should proceed to the Nigeria High Commission, London, WC2N 5BX, to collect their passports.

This is a list of lost and found passports that have been reported to the relevant authorities. It may include information such as the passport holder’s name, passport number, date and location of loss or discovery, and contact details of the reporting person or organization.

As a Nigerian citizen living in the UK, you may have previously used a biometric residence permit (BRP) or a biometric residence card (BRC) to evidence your immigration status. The UK Government encourages you to create a UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) account now at www.gov.uk/eVisa to access your e-Visa and experience the benefits – if you do not have one already.

PASSPORT INTERVENTION EXERCISE – DECEMBER 2025

Following our previous publication regarding the December 2025 Passport Intervention Exercise, the Nigeria High Commission, London, wishes to inform members of the Nigerian community in the United Kingdom of a change in schedule.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the dates for the exercise at Glasgow, Cardiff, Aberdeen, and Swansea have been changed. The new dates and locations are those stated in this current publication and supersede any prior announcements. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and kindly ask affected applicants to refer to the details below. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

Officers of the Nigeria Immigration Service will conduct the Passport Intervention Exercise at the following confirmed locations, dates, and times:

Applicants attending the exercise MUST come with the following:

  1. Passport Application Form
  2. Printed Appointment Slip
  3. Old Passport Booklet – mandatory for reissue, renewal, change of data. For LOST PASSPORT A £150 Postal Order payable to Nigeria High Commission is required.
  4. A Prepared Royal Mail C4 special delivery self-addressed envelope (for return of the processed passport)
  5. £40 Postal Order payable to the Nigeria High Commission

IMPORTANT:

Any applicant who has applied for a Nigerian passport and has any appointment date is eligible to attend the intervention exercise at the nearest location.

Applicants are kindly advised to attend on the scheduled dates and ensure they bring all required documents to avoid delays.
