    NOTICE OF PUBLIC HOLIDAY

    This is to inform the general public that the Federal Government of Nigeria has declared Tuesday, 25th August 2026, as public holiday to observe this year’s Eid ul Mawlid celebration, , commemorating the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad. In this regard, the High Commission will be closed on this day while normal services will resume on Wednesday, 26th August 2026.

    Please be advised that all applicants with biometric appointments scheduled on this day when the High Commission will be closed would be attended to from Wednesday, 26th August 2026.

    The High Commissioner wishes the general public a joyful Eid ul Mawlid celebration.
