Presentation of Letter Of Credence

Ambassador Amin Dalhatu, the High Commissioner of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to the United Kingdom, had the honour of presenting his Letter of Credence to King Charles III at St James’s Palace on Wednesday 6th May, 2026, marking the formal commencement of his diplomatic functions in the United Kingdom.

The High Commissioner was accompanied by his spouse, Mrs. Yasmine Amin Dalhatu and senior officers of the Mission.

PRESENTATION OF LETTER OF CREDENCE

Ambassador Amin Dalhatu, the High Commissioner of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to the United Kingdom, had the honour of presenting his Letter of Credence to King Charles III at St James's Palace on Wednesday 6th May, 2026, marking the formal commencement of his diplomatic functions in the United Kingdom.

As part of the event, the High Commissioner conveyed greetings from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR and the continued goodwill of the Government and people of Nigeria to the Government and people of the United Kingdom. He reaffirmed his commitment to further strengthening the longstanding relations and cooperation between the two countries across areas of mutual interest.

The High Commissioner expressed his appreciation for the warm reception accorded to him as well as his spouse and looked forward to engaging closely with the UK Government and relevant stakeholders in advancing shared priorities.
