NOTICE OF PUBLIC HOLIDAY

The High Commission wishes to inform the general public that it will be closed for the Christmas and New Year holidays from Monday, 15th December 2025, to Sunday, 4th January 2026.

The High Commission will resume on Monday, 5th January, 2026. During the closure period, essential services will remain operational.

The Acting High Commissioner extends warm wishes to the public for a joyful Christmas and prosperous New Year.

PUBLIC NOTICE

The Nigeria High Commission, London, wishes to inform members of the Nigerian community in the United Kingdom of a further update regarding the December 2025 Passport Intervention Exercise.

Following a public notice issued by the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) on routine maintenance of its Passport Digital Platform, which will result in service disruptions, the High Commission regrets to inform the public that the Passport Intervention Exercise earlier scheduled for Aberdeen and Swansea has been rescheduled.

As a result, the Aberdeen and Swansea exercises will now hold on the following dates:

The High Commission sincerely apologises for any inconvenience this adjustment may cause affected applicants. This change is necessary to ensure a smooth and effective passport capture process in light of the ongoing system maintenance by the Nigeria Immigration Service.

Applicants are kindly advised to take note of the revised dates and attend accordingly.

The High Commission appreciates the cooperation, patience, and understanding of the Nigerian community.

Applicants attending the exercise MUST come with the following:

  1. Passport Application Form
  2. Printed Appointment Slip
  3. Old Passport Booklet – mandatory for reissue, renewal, change of data. For LOST PASSPORT A £150 Postal Order payable to Nigeria High Commission is required.
  4. A Prepared Royal Mail C4 special delivery self-addressed envelope (for return of the processed passport)
  5. £40 Postal Order payable to the Nigeria High Commission
