The Nigeria High Commission wishes to inform the general public of the passing of His Excellency Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, former President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, who died on 13^th July, 2025.

          Former President Buhari served Nigeria with unwavering commitment, both as a Military Head of State and later, as a democratically elected President. His enduring legacy of patriotism, anti-corruption, and national service will be remembered across generations.

          In honour of his memory and distinguished service, seven (7) days National mourning has been declared. May Allah grant him amongst the highest levels of Jannah and grant his family and the Nation the fortitude to bear this great loss.
